LCARC Sponsored Awards
Awards
The Lake County ARC hosts two major awards. One, the Ham of the Year, is presented by the club, at its discretion, to the LCARC member who has shown leadership, who has accepted responsibility, and is active in multiple areas of ham radio and in service to the club (not just the best DXer, or the oldest club
officer).
The other major award, the Herb S. Brier award, honors the memory of long time CQ Novice Editor Herb Brier. This award is presented in the spirit of effective, caring Amateur Radio instruction. The ARRL and the Lake County Amateur Radio Club, co-sponsor this award in Herb’s memory. The award is bestowed by the ARRL to recognize the very best in volunteer Amateur Radio instructions.
